The Intelligence Analyst position is responsible for leading and participating in strategic and tactical research initiatives across current clients and new business. This role will partner with key members of the Barkley Strategy and Intelligence team and support primary and secondary data analysis, data mining, data visualization, brand performance tracking and measurement and quantitative research initiatives required to deliver results against the client’s specific business and marketing related goals and objectives.As a member of the Barkley Intelligence Team, you will drive the analysis behind and provide recommendations on strategic decisions that impact all facets of a client’s business. For this role, you should be a strategic thinker and executor, have excellent analytical skills, time management skills, and the ability to clearly communicate and present information to stakeholders at all levels of the business.ResponsibilitiesEstablish himself/herself as a strategic business partner with client side brand leaders and the Marketing team.Continuously raises the bar on intelligence capabilities and constantly looking to where we need to go.Drives an agile, factual approach to identifying and defining business opportunities for client growth; develops learning plan, executes, analyzes, and communicates learning related to a brands’ present and future position in the marketplace.Leads synthesis and communication of market and customer or consumer trends; ensures relevant trends are acted upon in brand, product and marketing strategies.Drives introduction and adoption of a comprehensive range of data analysis and research methodologies and suppliers, continuous improvement in techniques and cost, and seeks new tools to increase effectiveness.QualificationsBS/BA in Marketing, Market Research or related degree.3+ years of experience in a marketing, consumer insights/research or professional consulting role, prefer experience in the consumer packaged goods, restaurant, retail or healthcare industry.Experience producing high quality data and consumer insights & analytics work.Professional experience with data mining, segmentation, or predictive modeling using large, marketing databases.Ability to navigate, utilize and analyze raw data files, specifically SPSSProven track record of delivering actionable business recommendations, influencing decisions, & driving results.Experience working with third party suppliers ensuring they are aligned to our deliverables and are driving impactful outcomes.Strong oral and written communication skills, especially the ability to explain difficult concepts and opportunities in simple, applicable business terms.Ability to develop cross tabs from raw data filesExperience with bringing data visualization and information design for more efficient analysis and interpretation.Strong analytic thought process and ability to interpret findings.Ability to use all MS office software with advanced skills in excel a must.Barkley’s Commitment to Diversity & InclusionWe believe being radically diverse and inclusive is the key to becoming one of the world’s great creative idea companies.
