We are on the hunt for an experienced Senior Media Buyer who thrives on bringing creative media ideas to life. We’re looking for an excellent negotiator with proven experience across traditional, digital and experiential media. If you’re a big idea thinker who revels in collaboration, let’s talk.This position is responsible for the development, implementation and stewardship of media buys, ensuring they are executed accurately and efficiently. These channels include but are not limited to television, online media (programmatic and publisher direct), paid social, radio, print, out-of- home, and non-traditional tactics. In addition, this individual is responsible for ensuring strong delivery upon campaign objectives for all clients.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for campaign development, management and optimization within various platforms, such as Strata, DSP, Facebook/Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, etc.Builds relationships and maintains ongoing communications with media representatives.Negotiates the best possible rates, placements and added value by tactic, documenting accordingly to share out with the larger team.Integral activation lead in key client communication.Present at all key client presentations and meetings.Designs optimal buys in terms of cost efficiency, goal delivery and vendor agreements.Keeps a pulse on all media buys and is ultimately responsible for the post-buy results and ongoing reporting.Updates Supervisor on status of current accounts on an ongoing basis and elevates and issues in a timely manner.Responsible for overseeing all campaign tracking set-up and implementation before launch of a campaign, with support from Ad Operations.Oversees creation of all reporting dashboards and is integral in presentations to clients on an ongoing basis. Lead in collaboration with finance team members to resolve media billing issues.Ensures strict adherence to client budgets while meeting client objectives.Oversees uploading of broadcast spots to transmission platform.Stays current on all media trends and opportunities in the industry.Other duties/responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field2+ years of Channel Buying experience required (both traditional and digital experience preferred)Knowledge and prior use of buying software (Strata preferred)Experience working in a DSP (The Trade Desk preferred)Strong organizational and mathematical skillsAbility to multi-task and deliver work on-time for set deadlinesAbility to establish good working relationships with media sales reps and can effectively negotiate rates/makegoods, etc.Ability to work effectively with a variety of internal teams and business groups, including Creative, Account Management, Finance and Project ManagementAbility to communicate effectively within a team environment, with outside media sales reps as well as with current clientsMust be prepared for a fast-paced environment and be comfortable making decisionsBarkley’s Commitment to Diversity & InclusionWe believe being radically diverse and inclusive is the key to becoming one of the world’s great creative idea companies.
