We are looking for a creative & innovative rockstar to manage and grow a group of our media accounts. We want someone who thrives on collaboration with strategy and creative teams to elevate go-to-market strategies, and is ahead of the curve when it comes to emerging media and technologies.The Senior Media Planner is responsible for developing media recommendations to ensure media recommendations are effective and impactful, making smart use of the client’s budget. Planning covers all paid media channel opportunities, including, but not limited to TV, radio, programmatic and publisher direct display, outdoor, print, paid search, paid social, and online video tactics. Responsibilities:Develops communications strategies and media tactical recommendations for clients, as well as the developing & maintaining the media flowchart.Develops media budget recommendations based on client goals and objectives.Has thorough knowledge of key media planning tools.Works closely with strategist to evaluate all audience & geographic information necessary to develop media plan recommendation that best delivers upon the client’s goals and objectives.Identifies the need for and prepares additional projects and recommendations, including but not limited to competitive audits, target audience profiles, geographic analyses, etc.Maintains a positive rapport with media vendor partners, keeping up to date with the latest trends in the marketplace.Works closely with activation team to ensure flawless implementation of all approved channel recommendations. Takes an active role in presenting at key client presentations.Updates Supervisor on status of current accounts on an ongoing basis and elevates and issues in a timely manner.Writes POVs on Channel topics, key client issues, and/or client opportunities.Keeps a pulse on all active campaigns, identifying opportunities to optimize the campaigns to maximize performance. Identifies proactive opportunities for clients to take advantage of, preparing recommendations for these opportunities built with solid rationale and supported by data.Reviews all reporting dashboards to identify key performance insights and is integral in presentations to clients on an ongoing basis.Supports in the training & growth of media planners across the team.Helps with new business opportunities (as needed.)Qualifications:2+ years of media planning experience required Able to apply a strategic filter to solve client challengesStrong knowledge of digital media channels and programmatic buyingAbility to think critically and apply a strategic approach to all plans or projectsAbility to work effectively with a variety of internal teams and business groups, including Strategy, Client Services, Project Management and FinanceAbility to communicate effectively within a team environment as well as with outside media sales repsDisplays a passion for media and advertisingStrong organizational and mathematical skills (including basic media math)Ability to multi-task and deliver work on-time for set deadlinesMust be prepared for a fast-paced environment and be comfortable making decisionsExperience with Simmons, IMS, SRDS, SQAD, Kantar, MediaTools, and other media software toolsBarkley’s Commitment to Diversity & InclusionWe believe being radically diverse and inclusive is the key to becoming one of the world’s great creative idea companies.
