Lever is a business incubator that launches new enterprises (startups) to help lift the regional economy through growth and job creation. Lever also works with existing companies to develop new products or services. We seek a team of summer interns to support Lever’s Intrapreneur Challenge to foster innovation by supporting entrepreneurial employees who work for leading Berkshire companies.
We’re looking for a student with an interest in marketing and communications, solid writing and organizational skills, and curiosity about businesses and entrepreneurs to assist with communications and marketing work through summer 2021. This will be a mostly or entirely remote internship, so access to a computer and internet connection, as well as availability for meetings via Zoom, is required.
This student will be responsible for drafting and scheduling Lever social media postings and ensuring they are reviewed before posting; helping maintain Lever’s communications metrics databases; use applications like Asana and Hubspot for internal and external communications; provide general communications support for Lever’s Challenge programs; and other general communications and marketing support.
This is an exciting opportunity for a student who is interested in a career in marketing/communications or public relations. Our marketing intern will have the opportunity to learn—and do—a little of everything typical for a communications and marketing team. Superb organizational skills are required. Applicants should have solid computer skills and strong written and oral communication skills. Experience in social media management would be helpful but is not required.
Application and Compensation
This position is for a current college student or recent graduate. The compensation will be $540 a week. The tentative starting date is May 17th, 2021 and the internship will end on August 13th, 2021. Applications are due no later than March 31st. Please attach a cover letter describing why you would be an excellent candidate and your resume.
