Berkshire Interns (BI) (berkshireinterns.org) is a Lever, Inc. workforce program that places college students and recent graduates with leading Berkshire companies and organizations in full-time, 10-week paid summer internships. BI internships offer a wide range of opportunities including software development, journalism, banking, and manufacturing. These can be viewed at www.berkshireinterns.org
We seek a people-oriented, logistics-savvy student to help us support social programming for interns in Berkshire County this summer. A successful candidate will help us to engage BI interns’ during their summer experience through social media, logistics support, and regular social events. For everyone’s safety at this time, we will plan to have these events online.
Berkshire Interns summer 2021 program’s success will require an excellent Program Assistant. We seek someone who can creatively solve problems as they arise. Duties will include helping organize social gatherings for interns, promoting the events, building and maintaining social media platforms, managing our network database, and creating weekly newsletters.
This is an exciting opportunity for a student who is eager to engage in creative problem solving, critical thinking, and data management. Superb organizational skills are required. Applicants should have solid computer skills, strong written and oral communication skills, and leadership interest/experience. Experience in public speaking and social media management would be helpful. Event planning experience is a must.
Application and Compensation
This position is for a current college student or recent graduate. The compensation will be $540 a week. The tentative starting date is May 17th, 2021 and the internship will end on August 13th, 2021. Applications are due no later than March 31st.
