Merchandising is responsible for the overall curation of all product categories across all delivery channels, including Ecommerce, Retail, and In-Home. Individuals perform a wide variety of Merchandising functions, including: Demand Planning, Demand Forecasting, Product Assortment, Vendor Negotiations, Promotion Planning, and Fulfillment Planning.
The Analyst may be assigned to work in one of the three following specialties:
Demand Planning – The analyst is charge of executing and aligning of inventory purchasing and placement with focus on forecasting, vendor collaboration and inventory investment based on the category strategy. They work in direct partnership with the Category Lead, Merchant Analyst and eComm analyst to execute and deliver an exceptional customer experience and financial results. They are also the key contact with vendor community with regards to sales forecast, current trends, PO/inventory management, and supply chain solutions.
Merchandising – The analyst position provides multi-channel support to the Category Lead in everyday operations of their specific category. This role is responsible for the execution of the category strategy initiatives. This individual generates reporting, analyzes this information and provides business recommendations to the merchant team. The analyst provides support for assortment and promotional planning which includes some system maintenance and entry as well as having accountability and ownership for the cross functional management related to these tasks. The accurate and timely execution of the above responsibilities has a substantial impact on the overall category and company profitability ranging from $10M to $600M (based on the specific category).
Ecommerce and Fulfillment – The analyst will deliver the category online strategy, improve the online customer experience and deliver overall business performance and short and long-term growth objectives for their assigned categories. This position delivers a differentiated product category strategy across all digital views and experiences for their assigned category. The analyst oversees and executes the Ecommerce business strategies, tactics, and customer experiences for their assigned category leveraging both customer and channel insights and analytics to optimize the online experience. This role partners with the analytics team to identify how best to address customer pain points and provides analysis of online competitors. The analyst works with the fulfilment team to outline and execute the fulfilment strategy for the category, and make sure that strategy is sync to the larger company fulfilment strategy.

- Bachelor’s degree
- 1 year or more of Merchandising or related Business Team experience
