BETHEL HORIZONS FOUNDATION, INC – MADISON, WI Job Description: Retreat Center Coordinator POSITION SUMMARY: The Retreat Center Coordinator is responsible for cleaning the retreat centers at the beginning and end of the week, with the help from other summer staff. During the week you will check the buildings and help keep them tidy. You will also be helping the cook with meal prep, cleaning the dining room, and dishes. Room and board will be provided during your employment with us.AUTHORITY AND RESPONSIBILITY The Retreat Center Coordinator is accountable to the Food Services Director for the quality and delivery of work produced. HOURS: PART-TIME/FULL-TIME: Seasonal Full-Time LOCATION: Bethel Horizons Camp and Retreat Center COMPENSATION: $225.00 per week. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Minimum 18 years of age2. Suggested one year of college education or the equivalent in working life experience.3. The ability to meet each camper where that camper is at with the four harmonies of Bethel Horizons: God, Self, Others and Nature.4. Emotional maturity5. Liking for children, ability to understand the needs of the campers, and the good judgment to place the needs of the campers and the camp ahead of personal desires.6. Interest in contributing to the achievement of the objectives of the camp.7. Ability to work as a member of a group or team.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Cleaning and preparation of the Retreat Centers for user groups.2. Keeping inventory and stocking Retreat Center supplies and toiletries.3. Maintaining cleanliness of Retreat Center commons and entryways.4. Washing and Folding Laundry as needed.5. Working closely with the Summer Cooks as needed.6. Assist with clean up from general meals7. Assist with daily job assignments assigned at the beginning of the week.8. Assist with children as necessary – behavior management and counselor relief.9. Assist with programs and campfires.10. Other duties as assigned by the summer Program Director and Program Coordinator.
