Position Overview:

The Outreach and Community Engagement Coordinator will play a key role in expanding the reach of the Boots to Health Foundation by building relationships, promoting programs, and engaging the veteran community. This position involves organizing events, developing partnerships, and implementing strategies to increase program participation while providing valuable support to veterans.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Community Engagement:
    Develop and maintain relationships with local veteran organizations, community groups, and businesses to raise awareness of the Foundation’s programs and services.
  2. Event Coordination:
    Organize and coordinate outreach events such as health fairs, veteran resource expos, and fitness challenges to promote the Foundation’s mission.
  3. Partnership Development:
    Identify potential community partners and collaborators to expand the Foundation’s reach and establish mutually beneficial partnerships.
  4. Program Promotion:
    Implement strategies to increase program participation by engaging veteran communities and promoting services through local media, social media, and public speaking.
  5. Resource Distribution:
    Distribute informational materials, including brochures and flyers, to veteran organizations, community centers, and other relevant locations to increase program visibility.
  6. Volunteer Coordination:
    Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers for outreach efforts and events, ensuring they understand the Foundation’s mission and programs.
  7. Data Tracking and Reporting:
    Maintain records of outreach activities, track progress toward outreach goals, and report on the effectiveness of different outreach strategies.
  8. Social Media and Digital Outreach:
    Collaborate with the social media team to create content aimed at engaging the veteran community and promoting upcoming events and initiatives.
  9. Follow-Up and Support:
    Provide follow-up support to veterans who express interest in the programs, assisting them in overcoming any barriers to participation.
  10. Feedback Collection:
    Gather feedback from veterans to refine and improve the Foundation’s programs and services based on their needs.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for serving veterans and the community.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in outreach, event coordination, or community engagement is a plus.
  • Familiarity with veteran services and resources is preferred.
