Bryant University, Smithfield RI, a NCAA DI member of the Northeast Conference, is seeking applicants for a Graduate Assistant Coach to assist with all phases of a competitive Division I intercollegiate Track and Field/Cross Country program. This two year appointment will begin July, 1 2021 and reports to the Head Track and Field Coach.
The Graduate Assistant will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of operating a collegiate program, including recruiting, social media campaigns, daily practices, videotaping, home meet management, fund raising, student-athlete academic success, travel, compliance with all NCAA, NEC and Bryant University rules and regulations, etc.
1) An undergraduate degree from an accredited institution
2) Acceptance into Bryant University Graduate School program is a condition of employment.
3) Should have collegiate and/or high school experience in track & field. Coaching experience in cross country/track & field is desirable
5) Other duties assigned by the Director of Cross Country/Track and Field.
The candidate must have the ability to effectively recruit and retain quality student-athletes and the ability to effectively communicate through oral, written and electronic forms. A successful candidate will also have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate student-athletes in a group or individual setting. The candidate must actively support the mission of the university by working with faculty, staff and students to share in our mission to educate and inspire students to discover their passion and become innovative leaders of character around the world. The candidate must complete the NCAA coaches recruiting exam, pass all background checks, including a driving background check and travel is required.
