Do you want to spend your summer job working outdoors? Is making a difference in the lives of children important to you? Do you want to meet people from all over the world? What about building your resume while having an amazing time?
Join our camp family this summer for a challenging and rewarding job experience that will give you the skills you need for your future. Make a difference in the lives of our campers, while enjoying our beautiful outdoor facilities and working with people from around the world.
Camp Towanda is looking for experienced, enthusiastic and diligent arts and crafts teachers to work in our beautiful Arts & Crafts barn, helping our campers ages 7-17 explore and produce a variety of creative projects. Our program emphasis includes drawing, painting, paper mache, leatherwork, jewelry-making, ceramics, pottery, glass fusion and woodworking. Specialists help teach groups of 20-40 campers at a time. When you work in the Arts & Crafts Department you will have a specialty – e.g. ceramics, woodworking and general crafts to name a few. This is a great way to develop your teaching skills, share your passion and be a part of a fun team!
When you work at Camp Towanda, you get hands-on experience and leadership opportunities, while building skills that any future employer is looking for, such as flexibility, adaptability, initiative, self-direction, social and cross-cultural skills, productivity, accountability, leadership and responsibility.
