The National Personal Protective Technology Laboratory (NPPTL) is committed to the diversity and inclusivity within the NPPTL workforce, the workplace, and across the stakeholder groups we serve. The Division has made strides in identifying diversity and inclusion opportunities through our Blueprint for Action (BFA) plan and will continue to work to achieve health equity through the goals and actions set forth in the action plan.
The fellow will support NPPTL’s efforts in advancing health equity in disadvantaged populations through Personal Protective Technology interventions. As part of the NPPTL BFA Action Plan (Marketplace Goal #2), the fellow will assist NPPTL in exploring potential Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) design and use challenges for underrepresented user groups and solicit stakeholder feedback to provide public comment on the Healthcare and emerging Public Safety Action Plans.
The ORISE fellow will also assist in addressing technology and acceptance gaps through tailored Interventions. Lastly, the fellow will assist ongoing NPPTL efforts to support career development and succession planning activities for staff across the division.
