Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory located on the North Shore of Long Island, has an immediate opening for a motivated Human Resources Associate in the Human Resources department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing general support to the VP/CHRO with a focus in employee communications, such as the employee newsletter, digital screens, the Human Resource intranet, the CSHL mobile employee app. Arranging for Demystifying Science talks, a program designed to enhance the general knowledge of the CSHL employees.
Additional responsibilities include:
Supporting the recruiting department by processing job requisitions.
-Administrator of the Partners for the Future Program
-Coordinate employee training programs.
– Manage the Human Resources budget.
– Arrange employee events
– Special projects as needed.
Position RequirementsEDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Liberal Arts
EXPERIENCE: Three to five years of related experience
OTHER: Excellent organizational and inter-personal skills. Strong writing skills. Computer literacy including Windows OS, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, databases. Excellent communication skills and experience negotiating pricing and terms. Strong decision making and analytical skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
