Duties
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and common spaces to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to management.
- Assist with animal restraint during examinations or treatments as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ needs and well-being.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed while handling animals.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kennel or animal care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of animal handling techniques and basic animal care practices.
- Ability to perform animal restraint safely and effectively.
- Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners.
- Must work all areas of the facility, including boarding, daycare, grooming, front desk, etc.
- Must be able to use computers and answer phones.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
