Position Summary: Perform and participate in activities related to the decontamination, inspection, cleaning, assembling, packaging, and sterilization as appropriate, of surgical instruments, equipment and medical/surgical materials according to established standards and procedures to ensure a sterile and functional supply to user areas. Services are provided in a timely manner and good working relationships are maintained with customers. Demonstrated ability to think critically and apply problem-solving skills. Maintain consistency and continuous workflow with the OR and other departments while practicing excellent customer service. Provide integrity and sterility of products and services for the customers. Monitor surgery schedules daily, identifying general, specific and potential needs for all cases.
Required: One year of Sterile Processing experience
Preferred: One to three years Sterile Processing experience
Required: High School or G.E.D.
License and Credentials
Required: National certification as Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) within three years of employment.
Preferred: Additional certifications in the field such as Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) or Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS).
Required: Read, write and speak English at a high school level, High school level math skills. Demonstrated ability to perform basic computer skill.
Preferred: Effective oral and written communication skills.

Work Schedule: Hours are 3:00 pm – 8:30 pm rotating weekends
