OBJECTIVE:
The intern will be responsible for assisting the development staff handling program and virtual event marketing and outreach, administrative tasks, data entry and recordkeeping,
and assisting with event-related fundraising. This internship is a work-from-home position, but interns may occasionally be asked to come into the socially distanced, mask-mandatory office in Hackensack to pick up or drop off supplies..
Responsibilities:
Special events tasks, include assisting the staff with all aspects of marketing and preparation for virtual fundraisers
§ Create invitations & marketing materials
§ Research new prospects for auctions and other fundraising activities
§ Assist with event planning and post-event activities
- Data entry
- Registrations
- Recordkeeping
§ Obtaining donations and raffle items
§ Participate in weekly Zoom meetings and check-ins with supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
§ Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite 2010, including 365 TEAMS, Excel, PowerPoint, and use of databases
§ Ability to use web-based systems, such as Constant Contact, DonorPerfect and more, as needed
§ Ability to aid in conducting research as needed
§ Excellent communications skills, including phone conversation
§ Attention to detail and good persistence/follow-up
§ Desire to learn and work in a nonprofit organization
§ Enrollment in a degree program with an accredited college
§ Ability to work from home and be comfortable in a home-based office setting
§ Experience working in an office (preferred)
