Job TitleLead Therapeutic Summer Camp TechniciansJob DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY: The Intensive Behavioral Health Worker provides direct support for an assigned group of children during program hours. Under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor, this position develops and implements individualized treatment plans (ITP) and group lesson plans, facilitates small therapeutic groups, develops and administers behavioral protocols and interventions, and works collaboratively with other team members and families to support the children enrolled in the program. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide direct, therapeutic and behavioral support to assigned group of children, on-site and during community outingsDevelop group lesson plans based on ITP’s for assigned childrenContribute to the development of ITP’s including behavioral goals and objectives of assigned childrenComplete all necessary documentation including daily progress notes, data collection and parent contact formsParticipate in team meetings and parent conferences of assigned children; support parents in implementation of interventions specific to child’s goalsCollaborate with team members regarding the child’s behaviors and progress including input for evaluations, interaction with child’s treatment team and attendance at interagency team meetings when possibleAssist in the clinical intake/referral assessment process, case management, and program support duties as needed, including but not limited to completing the standardized assessment tool on the child, summarizing clinical information obtained during testing and providing clinical notes to the assigned children’s treatment recordPerform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), crisis intervention, and medication administration using agency-trained protocolsPerform other duties as assignedIMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Clinical SupervisorCONTACTS: Elwyn staff, interagency team members, psychologists, behavior consultants and therapists, school personnel, parents/family members, Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) and funding agencies, regulatory and reporting agencies(state and federal), physicians and other medical personnel, specialists, consultants and other individuals as neededDIRECT REPORTS: NoneEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:Master’s Degree with at least nine (9) credits specific to clinical practice in psychology, social work or counseling from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation with one (1) year full time experience providing direct mental health services to children preferably autism specific OR must have completed a clinical or mental health practicum within their graduate degree program;License in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist or clinical social worker ORLicense in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a social worker or a behavior specialist and have a graduate degree that required a clinical or mental health direct service practicum from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation ORCertified as a Behavior Analyst or meet eligibility requirements to be certified as a Board AnalystExperience with applied behavior analysis and behavioral protocolsDemonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a teamAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage and prioritize multiple, often competing, prioritiesDemonstrated strong attention to detailDemonstrated strong time management and organizational skillsDemonstrated excellent judgment with the ability to independently solve problems and make decisions with little or no need for direct supervisionDemonstrated ability to anticipate future needed changes or identify problem areas and take effective actionsMust be able to perform Safety Care and CPR using agency-trained protocolsMust possess excellent customer interaction, collaboration, presentation, and written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated intermediate experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; Access, Publisher and report-writer experience preferredMust have current, valid driver’s license in state of residence, three (3) years driving experience in the United States, and acceptable driving recordPHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL PROFILE: See Physical Demands Checklist below which represents the general physical demands and environment conditions to which the employee holding this position must meet, in addition to the duties and responsibilities listed above, to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
