Position OverviewThrough hands-on experience as well as observational and mentorship activities, the Intern in IT Project Management will have the opportunity to learn about several aspects of Information Technology and delivering technology solutions that enable strategic business priorities.In this role, the candidate will have opportunities to collaborate directly with business leaders and subject matter experts, along with a variety of IT colleagues. Primary responsibilities will be to provide hands-on project management support.Essential Duties· Support or lead project team to accomplish project goals.· Act as a problem solver to drive decisions.· Assists project management teams with connecting with stakeholders and planning for team meetings. · Prepare status reports and modify schedules and plans as required.· Keep management, team, and business areas informed of project status and related issues.· Coordinate and respond to requests for changes from original specifications.· Follow established project management practices, including management of scope, requirements, issues, and risks.· Create project schedule and utilize the schedule to communicate and manage the work.· Ensure that all required project management deliverables are created and accurate.· Establish positive working relationships with stakeholders and team members. Education and Experience· Actively pursuing educational advancement through a secondary or post-secondary institution· Appetite to learn, general business acumenPreferred· Demonstrated aptitude for technology and an interest in pursuing a career in information technology and/ or project management.· Strong organizational and communication skills.Physical Requirements· Ability to use computers daily in an interactive manner for extended periods of time and up to 8 hours per day.· Ability to travel between facilities in the metropolitan area as needed.· Ability to frequently and accurately communicate with employees, customers, and vendors in person, via the telephone or by email.· Constant walking or motion to coordinate work and interact with co-workers.We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
