Position OverviewThe Real Estate and Construction Intern will have the opportunity to learn about various aspects about Real Estate and Construction with an owner of facilities and of working in a real business environment.Primary responsibilities will be to provide support services to Exact Sciences employees; primarily in the Madison locations, but with possible remote support for geographically diverse employees.Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this position will primarily be remote/virtual but will likely require some on-site work at one or more of our multiple buildings/campuses. Essential Dutiesinclude but are not limited to the following:· Project management responsibilities. o Identify, track, communicate, and prioritize goals and tasks for yourself, external vendors (contractors, designers, etc.) and internal stakeholders (people from other teams).o Reach out to stakeholders to explain issues, gather input and/or gain consensus/agreement. · Meeting-management responsibilities:o Coordinating schedules and setting up meetings.o Taking notes, issuing them to meeting invitees, and updating with any revisions/comments.o Following up with stakeholders who have responsibilities from the meeting, to ensure the responsibilities are completed on time. · Soft skill requirements:o Excellent verbal and written communicationo Able and willing to work on tasks alone and with a team. o Ability to handle and prioritize multiple concurrent projects and tasks, possibly for multiple internal project managers. o Be comfortable with various communication types, including email, phone, virtual and in-person. · Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork. · Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.· Regular and reliable attendance.· Scheduling requirements:o Ability to work designated schedule.o Ability to work nights and/or weekends.o Ability to work overtime as needed.· Physical requirementso Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.o Ability to grasp with both hands; pinch with thumb and forefinger; turn with hand/arm; reach above shoulder height.o Ability to work on a computer and phone simultaneously.o Ability to use a telephone through a headset.o Ability to comply with any applicable personal protective equipment requirements.o A home work environment that is conducive to the above requirements, including adequate sound/visual isolation so that you can stay focused and engagement and keep all visual and audible company information confidential. · Travel Requirementso Ability and means to travel between Madison locations, possibly several in the same day.o Ability to travel __% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.Minimum Qualifications· Education, licenses, certifications, or work experience requirements:o A reasonable level of involvement with school, summer jobs, etc. to show an adequate level of interest in commercial real estate, design and construction. · List any required certification/licenses required for job:o Possession of active license to practice law at time of hire and maintain throughout employment in position.o Possession of or ability to obtain ASCP certification within 6 months of hire and maintain throughout employment in position.· List any technical skills:o Basic computer skills to include Internet navigation and file storage (local and cloud). o A reasonable level of competency in Microsoft Office to include Outlook email and calendar, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Planner, OneNote, and Teams, or…o Reasonably technical proficiency and self-motivation to learn new software. · If position receives a car allowance or drives a company car, include:o Possession of a valid driver’s license, no more than two moving violations in the past 36 months, and no unresolved license revocation or suspension issues. · Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.· Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
