Intern Electrical Engineering

Job Description

Falstrom Company, a leader in the development and manufacturing of electronic enclosure systems for Department of Defense (DOD) programs is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to support the daily activities and projects of the engineering and business development teams. Activities include circuit analyses, signal analyses, network design and support to systems design. The position will include analyses using in-house tools and engineering concepts using EXCEL and other software tools.

This position will require 20 to 32 hours per week on site at the Falstrom facility in Passaic, NJ. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

· Circuit and signal analyses

· Fourier analyses

· Schematic development

· Creation and revision of Bills of Materials

· Assist with Assembly Build in the production facility

· Evaluation and selection of electrical design tools

· Network design

Required Skills

Experience with the following:

Candidate must have completed at least two years of a BS Electrical Engineering degree program. Sound fundamental engineering skills, calculus and proficient with electrical design tools such as PSPICE is required. Completion of calculus 1 – 4 including differential equations is mandatory. Completion of two semesters of electrical network and signal analyses courses are required. Power electronic courses and experience is a major benefit.

The candidate must also have advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MathLab or MathCAD, Visio, HTML and PSPICE (or equivalent). The ability to participate in a team environment is required.
