Construction Analysts have the opportunity to work on a number of FBI initiatives related to construction projects. A construction analyst’s primary function is to develop skills and knowledge on commonly utilized construction techniques and procedures. Assignments will be designed to increase knowledge of the agency’s policies and procedures within construction best practices. Typical assignments include analyzing plans and specifications, ensure conformance to codes & regulations, establish procedures as well as minimal program requirements. Analysts will also collaborate with FBI management and program managers to develop new initiatives and funding requirements. In accomplishing this mission, construction analysts’ primary activities include:

  • Examine plans and specifications for construction projects
  • Assist Project Managers in the development of scopes of work schedules and cost estimates
  • Organize and prepare presentation materials for meetings
  • Provide administrative support with construction and design projects
  • Assessing project risks, issues, and provide solutions
  • Ensuring project deadlines are met
