The Procurement Intern will provide administrative support to Managers, Contract Specialists, and other functional areas within the Division of Financial Management.
The Intern will assist procurement staff members with assembling contract files, reviewing file documentation, and conducting contract validations and may perform tasks such as simplified acquisitions, contract modifications, and event planning. In support of the automation project, may assist to create process workflows and procedures. Intern may also assist staff with researching and creating bidder’s lists, creating reports and metrics, assist with planning and logistics of procurement and supplier diversity events. Intern will also assist with compliance and policy related projects including strategic analysis and research.
Required Administrative Skills:
The incumbent should have good communication, organizational, and planning skills. In addition to experience editing and proofreading and in records management. Some experience with research and quality assurance is a plus. Preferred majors include business, accounting, and finance.
Interns must be US Citizens and current matriculated students, recent graduates are not eligible. Summer interns are expected to work 40 hours per week.
