FIMRC’s Virtual Global Health Volunteer Experience replicates our on-site Global Health Volunteer Program. On a flexible time schedule, you will gain an understanding of the role limited access to healthcare plays in the health of a community, and how FIMRC meets those challenges to help improve the health of communities in low-resource settings.
Through readings, clinical exposure, videos from site staff, and other engaging activities you will feel as though you’ve spent one week (or more!) visiting all FIMRC sites. This is our most customizable experience – volunteers can choose from a minimum of 1 week and also add clinical observation as an option, or simply choose to participate in clinical observation only.
Got questions? Feel free to reach out! We’re always more than happy to work with you to develop a structure that fits your goals and schedule. Whether you are a public health, nursing, pre-med or medical student, FIMRC’s virtual programs have something for everyone.
Please note: All proceeds received by the foundation for virtual programming help directly support our operations on-site. These operations provide critical medical care and outreach to our communities. The base price for the Global Health Volunteer Experience for one week is $250. You can learn more about the fees associated with this opportunity here.
