The Operations and Underwriting Intern will be responsible for assisting underwriters in an operations center with various clerical functions, with the goal of increasing underwriter daily productivity
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Pull required reports/certificates for underwriters to review i.e. soft credit reports, collateral underwriter report, flood certs QC reports.
- Review and validate document expiration dates in E folder at time of submission.
- File and organize conditions in E folder.
- Assist closing with calling for final closing statements and validating wire instructions.

Education & Experience:
• Office experience
• Some knowledge of mortgage/title/banking industry desired
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents and writes routine correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers/vendors or other employees.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situation.
Computer Skills: Ability to use computer software and systems to efficiently complete job responsibilities.
