Venture Capital is a $137 billion industry that has helped change the world by supporting some of the biggest and most well-known companies. Amazon, Google, WhatsApp, Twitter, and thousands of other businesses originally began as small companies that needed extra money, product, marketing and sales guidance, and value-added introductions – provided by venture capitalists – to grow into what we now see today. VCs play an important role in building companies, wear multiple hats and think from the perspective of different fields daily, and continuously learn about new and innovative technologies addressing the world’s toughest problems.
