GMHC is a not-for-profit, data-driven, volunteer-supported, and community-based organization committed to national leadership in the fight against HIV/AIDS. We provide HIV prevention and coordinated care services to people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS in New York City.

The GMHC Analytics and Evaluation Department at GMHC is seeking one intern who would aid in the qualitative research process for two projects. The intern will transcribe individual interviews taken with clients as part of two federally funded research projects, Project HEALTH and Project Vogue. The interviews will be approximately onen hour in length and will consist of subjects answering open-ended questions about their experiences in life and in the program. Subjects in Project HEALTH are individuals who have been homeless and unemployed and who are HIV-positive. Subjects in Project Vogue are individuals who are out of medical care. The programs seek to address either housing and employment issues, or other support including behavioral health, while providing coordinated care or peer navigation to enhance their access to HIV medical services and antiretroviral treatment. There will be approximately 30 respondents for each project and they will complete 2 interviews each: one at enrollment in the program and another at 12 months post-enrollment. The intern will transcribe completed interviews and assist in coding and analyzing interviews. Through the transcription process the intern will learn about service delivery

for people living with HIV and barriers to care. The intern will interact with the GMHC evaluation

staff as part of our team.
