This position is part of Generation West Virginia’s Impact Fellowship. This program invites passionate leaders to work, live and give in West Virginia through yearlong, paid fellowships with some of the state’s most innovative employers. During the course of a year, Impact Fellows work 32 hours per week at one of our participating Host Employers for a minimum salary of $31,000 plus benefits, with competitive salary ranges varying based on experience and industry standards. Fellows spend each Friday volunteering with local nonprofits on projects that positively impact their communities.

Cyber Security Analyst at Bravo Consulting Group

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will apply extensive technical expertise and full knowledge of other the cybersecurity discipline to work independently and as a member of a team to support cybersecurity analysis.

Will be responsible for analyzing systems with the goal of guiding an organization or system development project to properly implement and/or improve its security posture. This is a highly analytical and somewhat technical role that will utilize innovation and creative thinking skills while leveraging a strong understanding of and experience in implementing federal and organizational system security mandates, guidance, and requirements (i.e. FISMA, NIST).

Will have the ability to write as they will be responsible for providing cybersecurity guidance to clients to achieve goals in accordance with established policies. Likewise, they may be responsible for establishing and recommending changes to policies. They will be responsible for developing and documenting technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and persuasive and creative writing.

Will develop presentations and be a spokesperson for the cyber work. They will represent the cyber organization as a prime technical contact on projects. They may interact with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.

This position requires a security analyst to think outside of the box of securing a typical network system and think about potential End-to-End (E2E) missions that include ground systems, spacecraft, and all communication mechanisms in between. The cyber analyst will be responsible for the evaluation of networks and space systems to identify potential vulnerabilities that could jeopardize an organization or space mission. The work is exciting and dynamic, and you must have a strong work ethic, love to have fun, and work well with others. This position affords an awesome opportunity for a team player to enhance cybersecurity, learn and apply new skills, and explore the world of space through a cyber lens.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and four years of experience
  • Top secret clearance
