Reporting to the Director of Operations for Grocery Haulers Inc., the Terminal Supervisor has the responsibility for the performance and customer experience across some of the Company’s main hubs to include; Williamsport, PA, Sunbury, PA, Pittsburgh PA, and Frederick, MD. The main work location for this position will be domiciled (TBD), in the Western PA area.
This Terminal Supervisor will operate and lead hundreds of truck and trailer moves per day, ensuring an operation that is designed for efficiency, safety, speed, and service. This position works extremely close with Operations, Central Dispatch, and IT.
They will ensure the highest level of customer service to our customer.
They will conduct an evaluation of the current team and provide feedback to senior management.
Grocery Haulers Inc. is an essential business that runs 24/7 and hence this position is demanding. This position requires an extremely dedicated individual who understands that this role will need flexibility at certain critical times. Generally, days off are Tuesdays and Saturdays.
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in the trucking function with an extensive understanding of all FMSCA and DOT regulations.
- Experience across multiple elements of logistics operations including all modes of transportation, fleet, distribution, eCommerce fulfillment, and network optimization.
- Excellent communication skills that can effectively work across all job functions; management, truck drivers, and office staff.
- Food transportation experience beneficial
- TMS and PeopleNet experience a plus!
- Traveling is required!
- CDL-A license a plus!
- Microsoft systems
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or similar discipline is preferred
Must-Have Permanent Work Authorization in the United States
