Overview of Program Development Intern Role

HealthCorps, Inc., is currently seeking a Program Development Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will support targeted improvement and creation of program resources & corresponding communication tools. The ideal candidate possesses working knowledge of health behavior change theories and health communication strategies, as well as the ability to create resources in Word, PowerPoint, Canva, and any video editing platform.

Responsibilities of Program Development Intern

• Assist with adapting existing curriculum resources to be viable for fully digital or hybrid learning settings. This includes classroom, online conferencing, and social media platforms.
• Assist with development of new program resource materials for campaigns, challenges, clubs, and classroom activities.
• Assist with organizing program resources and communicating updates to team of HealthCorps Coordinators.
• Utilize monitoring and evaluation trends to suggest targeted program resource improvements & new engagement strategies.

Qualifications

• Working toward a bachelors’ or master’s degree in a health or education related field.
• Passion for physical activity, mental resilience, nutrition, and community health.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A self-starter, has good organizational skills, and can prioritize tasks.
• Intermediate to expert proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Have your own laptop.

Schedule

Interns will ideally be able to commit a minimum of 120 hours to their dedicated project(s), averaging 10 hours per week for 12 or more weeks (January-May 2021). The Education Department is a remote-working team, and meetings typically occur over video conference.

Compensation and College Credit

This is an unpaid internship. However, depending on University guidelines, you may be eligible for college credit.
