We require that Behavioral Assistants hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a psych-related field and have a minimum of 1-year experience working with children and adolescents. Behavioral Assistants must be certified through the System of Care within 6 months of hire.
· To provide services involving application of positive behavioral principles within the community.
· Work efficiently to enhance the youth’s behavior by developing and strengthening skills in a variety of situations.
· Increase coping skills by way of face-to-face interventions provided individually or in a family setting with the youth and his/her family in support of goals in the ISP/treatment plan.
· Decrease likelihood of admission/re-admission to residential, mental/behavioral treatment programs of inpatient psychiatric settings.
