Hello and welcome to the humanID campus ambassador program! At humanID, we’re working to protect consumer privacy, fight dangerous fake news, and make the web human again. We are a nonprofit, and couldn’t do what we do without the help of volunteers like you!The goal of the ambassador program is to serve as an opportunity for people who have an interest in humanID, but don’t have the time to take on an internship, to contribute to projects and tasks in support of the organization.humanID’s top marketing focus is currently to acquire new customers. The biggest hurdle to date has been our lack of use cases and active clients, but we have a new client on the brink of launch: GreenZone. GreenZone (often abbreviated as GZ) is a review app for socially responsible patrons and allows them to indicate whether a store or location is welcoming to all identities, disabled-friendly, has gender-neutral bathrooms, etc. As a campus ambassador, your top priorities will be split between humanID and GreenZone. For humanID, you will be responsible for:Reaching out to student entrepreneurs, tech and startup student organizations, media labs, etc. to find new clients for humanID. We need humanID to be on people’s radars, so that when they’re looking for a login solution, we’re one of the first that comes to mind. Writing content for humanID’s website that will help the inbound marketing team reach a broader audience. Without SEO (search engine optimization), our service will not be seen by entrepreneurs and developers looking for a login solution. Your writing will directly bring more traffic to our website – and hopefully more clients! For GreenZone, you will be responsible for:Helping the entire ambassador program create a marketing campaign for GreenZone. We’ll have the ambassadors come together once a week for a strategy meeting, and you’ll be able to craft your marketing strategy there together. Would you rather create graphics to post on your own social media platforms, or launch an independent one for GreenZone and rotate who manages it every week? How do you want to track your progress? What are your goals for the first month versus the entire fall? We’ll be there to provide guidance and feedback, but ultimately this is your chance to take the lead, try new things, and get creative.Multiple prospective clients have stated that they will integrate humanID if we can demonstrate a successful use case. This is exactly what you’d help us do, along with developing the skills on how to launch a guerilla marketing campaign!Launching GreenZone on your campus. This means reviewing locations that you personally go to (10+ locations), getting 20+ people to download the app (more is even better!), and trying to get traction on your campus.GreenZone uses humanID as their only login option, which means that the more people we get on GreenZone, the more users we have for humanID. Hosting a focus group of 5+ people and getting user input on the application (humanID’s integration, its wording, aesthetic, the review items/questions, and any other feedback that they have). We will work with you and review the focus group questions, but this will be your opportunity to gain the soft skills for assessing and responding to user feedback. LogisticsYou are a part of our very first cohort of campus ambassadors and the program is still experimental, so there will be plenty of room for you to tailor your role to your personal interests and objectives (graphic design, writing publication content, etc.) If you have something in mind that you’d like the try, please don’t be shy :).Our main communication channel will be Slack, and we will keep track of specific tasks using a google spreadsheet. We will be having weekly check-in meeting (day & time tbd) to discuss tasks, ideas, and anything else that may come up, as well as a strategy meeting (day & time tbd) where we’ll cover the marketing campaign and group efforts to improve outreach techniques and learn from our results so far.
