Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) seeks an outstanding and dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide financial expertise and lead the organization’s financial and Information Technology strategies in IPA’s pivotal next stage of growth. This position is responsible for ensuring the organization’s financial health, organizational efficiency through enhanced systems, processes and training, and oversee the fiscally sound practices of IPA’s financial operations.The CFO serves as a key member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) and partners with other members of the SMT on all strategic matters as they relate to budget and grants management, planning and forecasting, IPA’s funding model, and information technology and management. S/he is a strategic partner with the Board of Director’s on the Finance and Audit committees and reports directly to the Executive Director.This is an ideal opportunity for a proven leader to apply their strong financial and operational expertise towards IPA’s mission of discovering and promoting effective solutions to global poverty problems. As a member of the SMT, the CFO must exhibit the ability to embrace and promote the emergence of diversity of ideas, experiences, cultures, and voices across IPA’s teams and partners. S/he should be able to adapt to a continually evolving environment and thrive in an autonomous and deadline-oriented workplace and have experience working for a complex nonprofit with multiple funding sources including government and private funding, and multiple Country Offices.
