The Institute of International Education (IIE) is seeking a current student with a passion for video production and digital storytelling for a paid fall internship opportunity.
The “Thomas A. Russo Internships at the IIE Scholar Rescue Fund” were established in honor of Thomas A. Russo, Vice-Chair of IIE’s Board of Trustees and a co-founder of IIE’s Scholar Rescue Fund (IIE-SRF). The internship will provide students the unique opportunity to gain experience with the only global program that arranges and funds fellowships for threatened and displaced scholars worldwide at a leading international education and exchange not-for-profit. The Thomas A. Russo internship will expose interns to the day-to-day operations of IIE-SRF, a program that operates at the intersection of human rights, humanitarianism, and higher education, allowing students to gain insight into the fields of international education and human rights, learn about career opportunities, and establish a network.
IIE-SRF was established in 2002 to formalize IIE’s longstanding commitment to protecting academics facing threats to their lives or careers. IIE-SRF has supported over 900 scholars from 60 countries in partnership with more than 430 host institutions in 50 countries. The intern will work remotely with a designated supervisor on assigned projects for the duration of the internship.

Schedule: Part-Time or Full-Time
Pay rate: $15.00 per hour
