Summary The Technology Evolution New Markets group at InterDigital is a team of highly motivated, fast-paced, and highly skilled researchers with strong backgrounds in wireless communications, embedded systems, artificial intelligence and machine learning. We are seeking an intern to help us with development of an open-source based flexible platform to be used with future Government projects and shared with other internal programs. Interns will also help with implementation and testing of wireless communications systems. The intern shall perform the following duties and shall have the following qualifications: Essential Duties and Responsibilities Development and testing of open-source based 5G platform for gNB and terminal Integration of radio receivers using SDR techniques on USRP platform Performing basic testing and debug of gNB and terminal radios Integration of gNB and terminal with open-source 5G Core Network (or LTE EPC in non-standalone mode) Documentation, and configuration management. Qualifications Must be enrolled in PhD/Masters’ in Computer Science or Electrical Communication Engineering Must have strong background in software defined radios, robotics, and digital signal processing. Knowledge of 3GPP LTE / NR standards is a plus. Proficient in C programming Knowledge of RTOS, GNU Radio and USRP SDR library is preferred. Knowledge of and use of GitHub for configuration management is a definite plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong team player.
