CYBERSECURITY ANALYST: Global Critical Infrastructure Protection
MULTIPLE INTERNSHIP POSITIONS
COMPRISING A NATIONAL ACADEMIC CYBERSECURITY INTERN TEAM

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES – FEBRUARY 2021 – DECEMBER 2021
Cyber threats represent one of the most critical global challenges we face. Moving from a reactive to a proactive stance to defeat cyber adversaries requires having the capacity and capability to respond to cyber risk, attacks and incidents via a coordinated threat and defensive measures information sharing and coordinated response.
The International Association of Certified ISAOs (IACI), a non-profit organization, is an authorized ‘Information Sharing & Analysis Organization – ISAO’ by the 2015 Presidential Executive Order 13691 and the 2015 Cybersecurity Information Act (CISA).
IACI is the “Center-of-Gravity” for critical infrastructure and other communities-or-interest Information Sharing and Analysis Organizations to come together for “collective defense” information sharing and response to defeat cyber adversaries.
The IACI-CERT, headquartered at IACI International Headquarters (Center for Space Education, NASA/Kennedy Space Center, FL) provides global public and private organizations access to security situational awareness – a global threat intel information infrastructure – IACINet (threat intel platform, additional security tools / technologies, daily advisories, alerts, reports, etc.
IACI works with the US Dept. of Homeland Security under a formal ‘Cybersecurity Information Sharing Collaboration Agreement – CISCA), with National/International Law Enforcement, Federal Agencies, State/Local/Tribal/Territorial Agencies, the private sector, academia, and international partners.
For 2021, IACI is implementing a nationwide INTERN TEAM, with students from universities across the country to work together, learning about global critical infrastructure protection efforts, information sharing, coordinated response, analyst skills and technologies to analyze cyber threats, attacks and incidents, and developing advisories, alerts – working within and across critical infrastructure sectors (i.e. health, financial, energy, manufacturing, industrial control systems, transportation, government, water, elections, space, state/local/tribal/territorial government, federal government, US DHS, etc.). Project Management skills included.
Additional projects interns have an opportunity to participate in and learn – National Cyber Exercise (Public & Private-Sector), Global Cyber First Responder Education and Certification, Cognitive Security Protection (Malign Influence, Disinformation, Misinformation).
