NYC Events & Admin Coordinator
Jet Set Pets · Remote (NYC-based) ~10 hrs/week · $20/hr
Do you think every weekend outing in NYC is better with a dog in the mix? Do you always seem to know what’s happening in the city before everyone else does? Jet Set Pets is looking for a detail-obsessed NYC-based coordinator to help us track every dog-friendly event happening across the five boroughs — and make sure our community knows about them.
We go deep in NYC. That means a weekly newsletter, active social channels, and a growing database of everything pet parents can do with their dogs here. To keep it all running, we need someone who loves the city, loves dogs, and takes the details seriously.
🐶 What You’ll Do
Hunt Down the Events
We’ll give you a curated list of go-to resources we already check weekly — local event calendars, Instagram accounts, Facebook groups, and more. Your job is to work through that list consistently (at least 3x a week) to make sure nothing slips through the cracks. We also love when someone spots a new source we haven’t found yet, so keeping an eye out for fresh places to find dog-friendly events is always encouraged.
Keep Our Database Spotless
Log events accurately in Airtable and update our WordPress website. This is the backbone of what we do — accuracy and consistency matter here. We’ll train you on both tools, but you need to bring the attention to detail.
Build Relationships with Local Businesses
Reach out to event organizers and local businesses via email and Meta Business Manager to confirm details, ask questions, and let them know when we feature their events. You’re often their first contact with Jet Set Pets — friendly and professional matters.
