Position: Front desk coordinator
Terms: Full time 8:30am-5:00pm Monday-Friday
Bilingual in Spanish preferably
-Complies with OSHA standards, HIPPA standards and assures staff is educated on all safety rules and regulations. Maintain computer system compliance and patient privacy.
-Answer telephones and filter calls to appropriate staff members.
-Serve as a liaison between patients and medical staff. Answer patient calls to schedule appointments, authorize refills and assist patients as appropriate.
-Greeting patients and visitors. Checking in patients, collecting insurance cards and registration forms. Collecting copays when required.
-Processing pre-authorizations for medications.
-Submitting orders for sleep studies and completing any prior authorizations as needed. Communicating with patients in delays or updates in the process.
-Completing medical records requests and sending patient reports.
-Organizing front desk operations, procedures and designing filing systems.
-Maintain tasks in a proficient manner so that duties are completed daily.
-Responsible for front desk employees including filling in when needed and assuring that all clerical tasks are completed effectively.
-Oversee training new employees and interns as needed on front desk duties.
-Completing any additional tasks as requested by management and physicians
