- POSITION: Human Resource Department Supervisor
- LOCATION: Superintendent Office
- WORK YEAR: Full year, 260 days, 8 hrs per day
- SALARY RANGE: Competitive Salaried position with Benefits – Management – Non -Affiliated with a union
- QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of three years of experience in employee benefits, evidencing knowledge of practices and procedures in enrollment and separation from health, dental, life and disability benefits. Proficient with a high level of accuracy in Microsoft office programs, Excel, Word, Outlook and with HCM software modules to support the personnel database and payroll. Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the ability to present correspondence that are clear, concise and grammatically correct. Experience working in a collective bargaining environment is highly desirable. Ability to work in a team environment, collaborate, act with integrity, responsibly and in an ethical manner; exercise initiative and good judgment in carrying out the responsibilities of the position.

- SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises Human Resources Office employees, the workflow and processes within the Department and the accuracy of the information entered and maintained in HCM software and provided to staff. Ensures employment, leave and benefit records are maintained in a comprehensive manner as required by law, contract, policy or best practice. Supports a welcome, helpful environment as a resource to employees, retirees and volunteers about their employment and benefits.
- Develops, conducts and trains others in staff orientation and separation interviews. Conducts and trains others in the knowledge of health, life, dental, vision, short and long term disability, pension and other insurance plans and enrollments, including COBRA and changes, inclusive of completing documents and processing them with the City and carriers. Responds to insurance inquiries. Develops procedures and forms in conjuction with the Director of Human Resources and the City to administer benefits to insure accuracy and completeness. Responds to and resolves employee inquires and issues, payroll issues from school and city payroll, relative to pay, accrual balances and leave or any status change to ensure accurate and timely payment of wages and enrollment with benefits within the scope of this position. Prepares Board letters and teacher contracts for hired and renewed teachers. Implement and account for the Course Reimbursement process for all eligible employees. Reimburse employees following Nashua School District and/or collective bargaining agreement procedures. Reconcile monthly billings for all insurances, verifies employee payroll deductions for insurances, prepare purchase orders for payment. Verifies and processes payment for agency substitute nurses . Calls substitute nurses or agency nurses to fill in with School Nurse absences. Performs such other related duties as may be assigned by the Director of Human Resources.
