The MRI Technologist is responsible for the operation of multiple types of Siemens and GE MRI scanners including 3T systems. Performs all procedures and protocols including cardiac imaging, spectroscopy and functional imaging. Acts as a liaison, monitoring and assisting patients. Archives images to PACS, make CD’s as needed, film MRI to hard-copy format as needed.
The qualified candidate must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Completion of an approved two year school of Radiologic Technology with certification by ARRT is required within one year of hire date. Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and MRI scanning preferred.
This position is located at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Hours are every Saturday, 12 hour shift.
