General Description: Population Education, a program of the national nonprofit Population Connection, seeks candidates for a fellowship for its Population Education Program, April – December 2021. Population Education works to support educators in their efforts to teach about population and related environmental, economic and social issues.
The Program Fellow works as part of a dynamic team to assist in administering our annual international student video contest, curriculum development, blog and social media posts, preparing and co-presenting teacher education workshops/webinars, and other program activities as needed. Note: This fellowship will be remote until the Population Connection office in Washington, DC resumes in-person work later in 2021 (date TBD). Applicants who need to work remotely through the end of the year from other locations will also be considered.
Qualifications: B.A. or B.S. (some relevant professional experience a plus). Strong oral and written communication skills. Presentation experience a plus. Understanding of and enthusiasm for environmental and population issues. Strong interest in K-12 education.
Compensation: Stipend of $3,575 per month ($42,900 annualized).
