Rise Against Hate was created to raise awareness about racism and civil rights, investigate racial disparities, and provide public awareness in law. We accomplish this through research, investigations, and providing results and information to the public. Additionally, we will provide training to further raise awareness.
Our organization is offering a volunteer internship opportunity to students passionate about social justice and creating change in local communities. Interns will have the ability to customize their experience by joining in and assisting on projects in a variety of fields including law, mental health, government relations, and communications. Interns will build on the skills they already have by completing tasks in data analysis, web design, research, and much more depending on your interests. Interns also have the option to join in on educational presentations and webinars as they become available.
Rise Against Hate is flexible and works with students to create a schedule that fits around their availability. Interns typically work around 15+ hours per week on tasks related to their assigned projects. Internship lengths are determined by both students and their schools in order to fulfill academic credit requirements.
To apply, please follow Handshake instructions and submit a resume. A Rise Against Hate team member will reach out to schedule interviews with applicants whose experiences and interests best fit the needs of the organization.
Some educational institutions require prior approval before the start of an internship. It is the responsibility of the student to check with their institution to be sure they meet any requirements before they accept a position.
