Launch your career this summer as an intern with the Rutgers University Foundation in the Futures in Advancement program. This structured internship is an intensive, hands-on professional experience that will expose you to the field of professional fundraising, alumni engagement and the advancement industry. You will get the chance to network with industry professionals, active alumni and benefactors of the University, and learn about the fundamentals of non-profit leadership.
Throughout the summer you will work alongside professionals on real projects, attend weekly learning sessions, and complete and present a final cohort project to the full Foundation staff. This summer experience will benefit any career path you may pursue; teamwork, time management, leadership and professionalism are some of the skills you will develop while being a Futures in Advancement intern. Past interns currently have full time and part time jobs at the Foundation or have gone on to work at companies such as Verizon, Box, Amazon, Google, New York Presbyterian, and New York/New Jersey Port Authority, among many others.
Futures in Advancement is a paid 10-week full time internship (30 hours per week) that runs from the second to last week of May to the last week of July; interns are paid $13.50 hourly. The application period will close on February 26, 2020.
Currently, the internship is scheduled to be remote. However, this may change depending on the university’s COVID protocols.
