Internship Natural Resources, Sustainability, & Environmental ScienceExpires June 30, 2021

The Sanctuary One internship experience introduces you to the world of care farming. Care farming provides mental health and social services, promotes healing, and educates the public in a farm atmosphere. This is a benefit for humans, animals, and the environment.

Interns will be involved in the daily operations of the farm mucking, feeding, grooming, and animal care on a wide variety of animals. At the farm, we have cats, dogs, alpacas, cows, goats, horses, llamas, sheep, and pigs. As an intern, you will get to work with all of these animals and get to learn about them up close and personal. During your stay, you will work with the program coordinator and farm manager on a project that is specialized to your interest and career aspirations.

Currently, we have internship positions open in 2021 Mid-February to the end of April, and Mid-August thru December. We provide comfortable shared housing in our fully furnished farmhouse, on the beautiful 55-acre farm for full-time interns staying 6 weeks or longer. Interns are responsible for their food and transportation, but Sanctuary One does provide basic food staples.

We are looking for interns that are:

  • Hard-working
  • Independent
  • Good at time management
  • Loves animals
  • Works well with others
  • Eager to learn new skills

To fill out an application and to learn more about the internship please visit Sanctuary One Internships.
