Responsible for the supervision of all aquatic amenities, i.e. indoor and outdoor pool as well as the spa/hot tub. Ensuring the safety of all community members by preventing and responding to emergencies and adhering to all nationally recognized guidelines, including any Springpoint Senior Living established policies and procedures as may be directed by the Wellness Center Manager. Welcome, greet and provide assistance with regard to all aquatic amenities, programs and equipment to residents or staff. Maintain constant surveillance of the aquatic facility; act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency. Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services. Thoroughly complete any/all incident reports, report all injuries and/or equipment problems to Fitness Program Manager or appropriate department director. Complete all assignments during shift which may include water testing procedures, cleaning pool desk and maintaining equipment. Attend and actively participate in all mandatory staff meetings and in-service training sessions. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent Current nationally recognized Lifeguard Certification. Must possess and maintain current CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications as required at all times.
