Our program trains you with the expertise and practical knowledge you need to build a career as a curator, collection and exhibition manager, registrar, museum educator, or specialist in museum membership, development, and outreach. As part of the program at St. John’s, you also have the option to complete elective credits in the related fields of Public History and Library and Information Science.Our courses are taught by active museum professionals and we offer annual special topics seminars addressing timely issues in the museum field. You actively engage with New York City’s vibrant art world through coursework and internships, preparing you to enter the job market with wide-ranging knowledge and experience in a variety of professional specializations. We welcome students from diverse academic and professional backgrounds and offer study and internship experiences through the University’s Queens and Manhattan campuses, as well as our locations in Rome, Italy and Paris, France.
