The store clerk position represents the face of the company for customers and offers exceptional customer service with prompt, efficient, and courteous service.
Employees maintain daily operations to keep the store operating smoothly. Responsibilities include keeping a clean, safe environment for patrons, ringing customer purchases using electronic cash registers, and giving correct change. Additional duties consist of stocking merchandise throughout the store, cleaning store front and stock room, basic maintenance of coolers and fountain dispensers, lottery sales, etc.
Hiring Requirements, Skills, and Abilities
Basic requirements for hiring consideration include a high school diploma or equivalent, outstanding communication skills, mathematical ability, and team-oriented values to help the store operate at maximum efficiency.
The store clerk must possess the ability to stand, bend, and reach throughout the shift, as well as lifting items ranging from 1 to 50lbs.
