Job Responsibilities

Viasat is searching for a talented Project Planner to join our growing Operations team in our Atlanta, GA facility. You will be responsible for helping bring new product to life while simultaneously meeting program objectives for cost and schedule. You will utilize your organizational and methodical approach as you plan and monitor material supply through creation, release, and management of purchase requisitions and work orders. Your attention to detail will benefit you as you review Bills of Materials for both standard product lines and custom product programs and utilize Oracle’s ERP system in planning of materials and labor resources to fulfill customer demand while also managing inventory levels for projects by successfully managing MRP demand, procurement, and engineering change activity. Your perspective and collaboration skills will help you successfully develop production plans through close communication with Engineering, Program Managers, Business Development, and Business Area Management. Taking ownership of your work will insure your monthly reporting to management on key metrics on inventory, program status, and production/planning activities will help drive and keep the entire department and company on track for continued success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Business or related discipline
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, including Excel and Word
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Technical skills including Tableau and Alteryx
  • Ability to cross – functional collaborate
  • Presentation experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Analytical mindset
