Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a talented and versatile Automation Software Engineer Intern to join our growing Global Networks and Technology group. In this exciting role, you will have the unique opportunity to build automation around our development processes.
Our goal is to continuously improve the developer experience for ourselves, and our software engineering colleagues.
As a Automation Software Engineer Intern, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
* Adapt legacy build processes into modern CI/CD pipelines
* Write/update integrations (plugins, hooks, scripts) for development tools such as Jira and GitHub Enterprise
* Create documentation and educate engineers on the systems created
* Analyze, understand, and automate complex processes
* Represent the CI/CD mindset of automation, code coverage, and chaos engineering
Requirements
* Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM Discipline
* Experience with developing software applications in Python
* Systematic approach to debugging complex systems
* Excellent collaboration and customer service skills
* Ability to commit to a 10-12 week summer internship
Preferences
* Experience building automation solutions
* Experience with Linux system administration
* Experience with common CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, github, docker, etc.
