Job Responsibilities

  • In this role you will be responsible for supporting test engineering efforts for the production testing of RF products designed at Viasat.
  • You will work closely with the product design team to interpret module requirements and turn them into corresponding Production Test Plans and Production Test Equipment requirements.
  • You will help support ongoing production issues related to test failures, test yields, and process documentation.
  • Ability to commit to a 10-12 week summer internship.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or programming discipline
  • Capability to create test documentation and test strategies for testing Viasat products
  • Strong ability to communicate with team members information related to problem-solving and completing tasks.
  • Ability to analyze test data by using data automation tools such as MATLAB and Python.
  • Knowledge using one or more programming language such as LabView, C/C++, C#, Python or Visual Basic.
  • Skilled in problem-solving and problem resolution.
  • Ability to commit to a 10-12 week summer internship.

Preferences

  • Experience through coursework, projects, or internships with common test equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes and digital multimeters.
  • Experience in testing electronic equipment or equivalent experience
  • Good knowledge Electronic circuits and schematics.
  • Working knowledge of FPGAs and digital interfaces.
