The Job
- Work with DC Newsgathering and Assignment desk.
- Interns will work with a specific journalism Beat assisting reporters, producers, photojournalists, and news assistants
The Daily
- The Newsgathering intern will learn how CNN plans stories and orchestrates live breaking news coverage and daily programming
- Intern duties include research, fact-checking, tapes logging, assistance with interviews and stakeouts, and other editorial activities
The Essentials
- Broadcast Journalism, Media or Communications major
- Strong current events knowledge and interest in news and politics
- Knowledge of CNN news platforms (network shows, website) is helpful
- Candidates should also be motivated, self-starters, detail-oriented multi-taskers who function well under deadline pressures

Internship Program
- Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for the full duration of the internship
- Fall 2022 program dates are October 3rd – December 9th; must be available for full program duration
- Part-time schedule (16-24 hours/week) required
- Company-issued computer or secured remote access provided for the duration of the internship program.
