Warwick School District is seeking qualified applicants for the following anticipated position effective as soon as the selected candidate is available.
Year-round, full-time Public Relations & Marketing Coordinator. Responsibilities include: Represent the Warwick School District to the press and public by acting as district spokesperson. Direct the district’s communications program with major emphasis on communications within the school district, between school and home, and between the district and community at large including management of the district website. Attend regular meetings of the School Board as media contact. Plan and coordinate special events and presentations as directed by the Superintendent. Be knowledgeable regarding all major happenings within the district as a basis for accurate reporting and communications.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications/Journalism/Public Relations is required. Must be knowledgeable in all areas of social media. School public relations and website/content management experience preferred.
Medical examination, tuberculin test, federal and state criminal record checks and child abuse history clearance are required prior to employment.
